What is casein protein and how does it differ from whey?

Casein is a type of milk protein that digests more slowly than whey. It provides a sustained release of amino acids over several hours, making it ideal as a nighttime protein source.

Why is casein recommended before bedtime?

Due to its slow digestion rate, casein supplies amino acids to the body over an extended period. This makes it a good choice before sleep when the next meal is many hours away.

How do I prepare casein protein powder?

Mix one serving with water or milk in a shaker or blender. Casein powder is thicker than whey, so use enough liquid. Adjust the consistency to your taste preference.

Can casein be consumed at times other than evening?

Yes, casein can be consumed at any time of day. It also works well between meals when you want a sustained protein source. However, it is most popular as a pre-sleep supplement.

How should I store casein protein powder?

Keep the powder in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. After opening, use it within the timeframe recommended by the manufacturer.

Who is casein protein powder best suited for?

Casein is ideal for athletes and active individuals who want a sustained-release protein source. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass and to the maintenance of normal bones.
